Empire has no First Deposit Bonus??

I just made my first deposit at EmpirePoker, $500, and was expecting a bonus amount of $100 to show up in my bonus account.

We see that you have not used the sign up bonus code while creating an account with us and we also see that you have not used any bonus code while making the first deposit. Since you have not used any bonus code, the system automatically will not issue the bonus.

However, we request you to make another deposit at this point of time using iGM-Pay as your deposit option, then you will be eligible to receive a 20% bonus up to $100 on your first deposit only. You will have to use the bonus code IGMPAY while making your deposit.

The bonus will appear in your bonus account and all you need to do is play raked hands equal to 5 times the bonus amount for the bonus to be released to your Real Money balance.

Firstly, I was surprised to hear back from support within the day. From what I've heard, it usually takes longer at Empire. Secondly, I was a bit taken aback at the lack of the first-time deposit bonus. From what's been posted here, I was very confident that there was no code needed, and if it didn't process than an e-mail will do.

While I'm disappointed at the lack of "free money", there's plenty of whoring to go around.

I've since responded, making absolutely sure that there's no first-time deposit. I'll keep you updated.

Did you signup through an affiliate link, or did you download the software directly from Empire's website?

Several posts here have said that you don't need a code for the first deposit bonus at Empire.

Well, they gave me the bonus, but credited it as the IGM-Pay bonus.

Looks like they don't offer a sign-up bonus unless it's through an affiliate.

that's bullsh#t. I would do the IGM-pay bonus, then pull all my money out. Once it's in the bank, I'd email them to close the account. Wait a day or two, then sign up and make sure to get a deposit bonus. Go to Bonuswhores, pokerlistings, or the like (though you shouldn't have to). And then do the IGMPAY bonus again just to spite them for being incompetent.

I'll still get a free $200 from them (this bonus and the ePass bonus), so I'm good.
