postflop revolution
Not really. I figured since postflop play with offbeat hands seems to be the theme of the evening, I'd try posting this hand again that I posted over in the MTT forum a couple of weeks ago and got no comment on. As an added bonus, I can't remember what I was thinking at the time. I know what I think now, though, and I'm curious to hear if anybody else has some ideas here.
$50,000 R&A at Paradise. Blinds are 300/600. I pick up 62o in the BB. CO, button limp in, SB completes, I check. I have about 20,000 in chips, button is big stack with 40,000, SB and CO both have about 8000 after calling. We're still pretty far from the money. Flop (pot = 2800) T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, I bet 1500, CO calls, button folds, SB calls. Turn: (pot = 7300) T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, I bet 3000, CO calls, SB folds. River: (pot = 13300) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, CO pushes for about 3500 chips, I call. Thoughts? |

Re: postflop revolution
Hmm...four way, big stack in (although probably with nothing), two other stacks that'll hurt, draw present...nope, I'm not getting involved here.
If it got checked around I'd bet the turn, but I see no good possibly coming out of this flop. I'd be far more happy if I had the draw (see K8s). |
