Default just calling the turn AND the river with quad 10\'s. thoughts?

I had pocket 10's in middle position and it was 3 bet before the flop with 5 players seeing the flop. The flop was A T 6 all clubs. I bet my set and 3 players called. The turn was another 10. Bingo! But the problem was the blind bet out in front of me leaving him only 2/3 of a bet left in his stack. With 2 players left behind me, I just called. 1 of the 2 players also called. The river was a king and the blind bet his remaining chips (2/3 of a bet). I just called again hoping the player behind me would atleast call, which he did. I figured there was no point in raising since the bettor was all-in. Just calling the turn and river with quads seems like an incredibly weak play but I think it got me 2 extra big bets. Thoughts?

With no reads whatsoever and no context, I am totally unable to judge.

At least you will inspire fear with your calls from now on.

it's not about reading the other players. The important thing is that the player who bet out in front of me doesn't have any chips left so why raise and force the players behind me to call 2 big bets cold with a scary board. I think by just calling, I gained 2 extra big bets from the player behind me who called both the turn and the river.

And...

So what you are saying is, if we accept everything you are saying, you have said it all? I'm not quite clear, where do you want someone to find a comment here?

I'm just wondering if anyone disagrees. I've never played a hand that big so passively but I seriously can't see playing it differently.

From the situation you described, it sounds like you played it perfectly.

C'mon this isn't hard to figure at all. Look at it this way, in limit if you missed getting an extra bet or two with quads it doesn't much matter in the long run. Put another way how you play quads isn't a very big facor to your bottom line assuming you don't fold them .

good point. i guess it was just a weird feeling to call the turn and the river and then flip over my quads. i felt everyone at the table staring at me wondering what the hell does this guy need to actually bet.
