Default B&M 2/4 LP v 3/6 LA - need pre-flop advice

Last weekend i visited my local B&M for a bit of 2/4 - a normal weekend game for me. Problem was the list was off the wall, so I made the decision to jump to 3/6.

Turns out, the 3/6 game was way looser and way more aggressive than the 2/4 game. 1/3 pots would be capped pre-flop, lots of people hanging to the river.. a very wild game..

Question becomes, when faced with a table chock full of loose opponents (at least 4 LAG's, couple of LP's, 1 maniac, NO tight players) averaging 5-6 to a flop, should I loosen up to 'loose' game requirements even though i'm potentially paying 4 small bets to see a flop? Seems like a good way to burn the bankroll.

Basically, i'm not used to truly LAG players who will bet and raise with sweet nothing in that quantity. For example, I got raised all the way down by a guy holding a backdoor flush draw at the flop (and thats it) who of course drew out. It's fairly impossible to put these guys on a hand since they'll play anything like aces whether they have them or not. Post flop i cant really give them credit for anything.

Sound like a typical Party .50/1 game. Get a copy of Small Stakes Holdem by Miller. It's pretty much the new bible for games like this. It's not a good first poker book though. I hear Winning Low Limit Holdem will keep the new player out of trouble until they are ready for Small Stakes' more advanced concepts. What casino was this?

Play hands that get paid up front, like big-medium pairs and large broadways.

Hands that need implied odds to be played preflop, like small pairs and suited connectors, go down in value because you have to pay SO MUCH preflop to play them.

Also, do the players remain very aggressive postflop? If not, then you should play even tighter because there are lower implied odds. It would be like playing a flat limit game (6/6 instead of 3/6).

If there are enough postflop LAGs and loose passives then you will be getting better implied odds on your hands. You can pump pots with the lags and the passives will be adding their dead money. Loosen up a bit in this scenario.
