Default Do you bet this river?

I normally don't play limit, I have the bankroll but not the experience. Found a particulary juicy game so I decided to give it a shot.

No reads, this hand was still within my first orbit.

Anyway, do you bet this river?

Hi,

Try not to put the results in your post, it'll alter people's responses. The river is such an ugly card that I'd probably check too.

What is SB calling flop and turn with? a Q, a 7, a 6, a flushdraw. Those are the only holdings I can see him having.

After that river 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] you only beat one of those four. I would check behind.

there are very few hands that your bad guy can have here that he'd call a bet with, aside from some weird 7.

let's see, the 6 pairs the board, so if he had a 6 you're beat. it completes a flush draw so if he was on that you're beat. Q you're beat. 7 you win. all else crap, he folds you win.

just put a range of hands that have these combinations and see if a bet is profitable or not, but in my rough guess i'd say no. though you never know what kind of crap fish will call with...

there's the off chance he has some pocket pair like TT or 88, but yeah I like the check behind.

There's enough responses and I guess I was just second guessing myself because of what the villain turned over . . . KTo.

Either way I decided that trying to play 3/6 limit after staying awake for 24+ hours was probably a bad thing so I quit, despite the fact that half the table were 3-betting the turn with A-high.
