Anyone Play in the new OK Card rooms yet?

Oklahoma now has a bunhc of cardrooms opening up. Can anyone that has played in them leave a trip report or details of the place that they visited?

I am in Dallas, so the closer to me the better!

Were not gonna see any poker close to us for a few more month jokah. Winstar won't open their room til the spring at the earliest. They want to get the more money making blackjack tables out first.

Ok, thanks, I also hear that there are some poker rooms opening close to Tulsa, about as far as Shreveport, but probably nicer card rooms.

Well I've been checking up with Shreveport, only the shoe is opening a poker room so far, and that is not until late march.

From what I have read and heard, Cherokee casino in Tulsa is ready to open their poker room when they get some type of approval from the feds. I heard a report today on the radio that approval came through, so I would not be surprised if the poker room is opened this weekend. Sadly, I will not have time to check it out.

While I cannot confirm that the following is true, I have heard that initially they plan on having 8+ tables, with plans to expand to 30+ tables. I also heard that 4/8 is the lowest limit they will spread, and that they intend to have some no limit action as well.

I just thought I would add that I just heard confirmation that the poker room at Cherokee Casino in Tulsa is now open.....dealt the first hand this afternoon.

Please, if you find what stakes and rake they have, please post it. Tulsa is 3+ hours from Dallas? Man, still far.

The word in rec.gambling.poker is that Winstar will be dealing poker on Feb. 16th. Take it with a grain of salt, but it could be good news for those of us in DFW. I won't be able to go for a couple of months since I now have a 3 week old son. At least I'll be able to excercise that option when I get some time though.
