A few hands into a cash game with friends. $10 buy in, $.50/$.25 blinds. Most people had $10, the big stack had ~$16. I am viewed as a conservative player, the button is fairly agressive and likes to boss people around when he's large stack, and the SB plays few hands but plays them very agressively.

I was UTG with AJ(s), and raised 5BB. Everyone folds to the button, who reraises $7, pushing me in. Small blind calls, so the pot is now ~$23, costing me $7 to call. Should I call or fold?

(turns out that the button had pocket 8's, small blind had KJ(o) ).

But what hands would I need to hold in order to correctly call?

And were the button's and SB's plays also incorrect?
