Banned....

I assume it was because of my highly offensive Osama/"I hate america" avatar/loc (which was not my choice), but I found my account banned this morning. Every time someone complained about it, I referred them to my Open Challenge opponent. Should there be any problem getting unbanned for this? It's been an hour and I still haven't heard back from Matty. Do you think a PM or email works better?

Things have gotten really crazy around here with this stuff. Last week my avatar of fully-clothed Alizee in concert was removed.

You should have removed the avatar youself. I don't know what this Open Challenge is (I'm assuming it's an avatar bet) but it doesn't matter. Getting banned is exactly what you should have expected.

I agree with the Ban first and ask questions later policy. 2+2 is getting too big for Mat to have to send out polite requests all the time. The burden to be reinstated is upon freakin, not Mat. I expect he will reinstate freakin when he gets around to it.

OTOH, you have to wonder about the people who are complaining about such a nonsense avatar. Half the people who post on the Politics forum hate America, if we banned them all, who would I get to laugh at every day?
