Default Live 1/2 hand

6 person table.

Relevant people with reads
MP : ~ 60$, just lost the majority of his money (over 200$) chasing a flush, played it like a calling station. After he lost this pot, his friends told him they wanted to leave and he said he would after this hand. Numerous times in the night said, "let's gamble, I'm a gambling man".
Me : Button, 150$...My read? Im awesome.
BB : 100$...loves to bluff when the time is right.

MP limps to me, I see 77, I raise to 10 , BB and MP call.

Flop is 8 9 2

BB checks, MP checks, I bet 15, BB folds, MP pushes.

Call, fold?

Basically, is saying you are going to leave after a hand, a tell for weakness?

I don't understand why you're even considering calling. If it's because of a tell or read, please fill us in. I would muck in a heartbeat.

Fold. And don't raise 77 pre-flop. It's a setting hand. Maybe sometimes an overpair hand. But never a underpair hand.

Especially in a 6 ring game, I can't personally see raising w/ 77 as a wise idea.

And, unless you've got a stellar read on this guy - why are you willing to put so much of your money on the line w/ such a marginal holding?

Fold, at best he has JT and then 12 outs making it close to a coinflip.

Is 5x the BB a normal raise here? Big raises like that usually put you on a midpocket pair. The old "I like my pair but you jokers are going to call with overcards and I am going to make sure you don't" line.

I would fold this without a thought.

I think pfr and flop bet is ok although when I make moves like this, I prefer to have an A or K flop for when I make that flop bet. I think I would have just checked through the flop.

definitely fold to the push.

?? I can see maybe a 3.5x raise[Do it sometimes] or a minraise [hate this and never do it] to maybe set up a payday if you hit your set.

Please explain why you would do this with the weak chasing competition. I know I must be missing something, but if you did get your A or K on the flop how do you know they do not have one of those?
