Default Slow down, speed up, or just right?

This is one of those hands that had me feeling slightly confused - felt crippled by all the diamonds. Read on villan is LA-P. Comments on any street appreciated.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Raise pre-flop. There's probably an ideal river play but honestly I don't know if it's check/fold or bet/fold.

Raise pre-flop? Usually only will do that if first in or in late position.

I think the river play depends on read. I hated not having any part of the flush and felt like I was being set up for the C/R.
