Tipping :
In a cardroom where the dealers all split the tips, does anyone not tip?
(I am not a stiff btw) |

Re: Tipping :
At Caesars IN where I play, tips are split. It sucks because some dealers are awesome, and others are awful. I usually just tip the good ones.

Re: Tipping :
At Foxwoods the dealers also split the tips. I tip the same there as at other casinos (i.e. on all but the smallest pots), since the dealers still depend on their tips whether they are shared or not.

Re: Tipping :
The thing to kkeep in mind about Foxwoods, is that all of the dealers of ALL games share tips. So your tip is going to the Pai-Gaw dealers as awell as the poker dealers.

Re: Tipping :
I play in an NYC cardroom and I will wait to tip the better dealers while they are not sharing (they share some hours and are induvidual some hours).

Re: Tipping :
I tip the same amount regardless of the room policy. Unless I hit a high hand or something with a couple hundred bonus. Then I really hook up the keep your own dealer.
I don't agree with people not tipping just because the tips are pooled. That is a poor excuse. If you are going to tip, do so with a smile, if not just keep quiet and not give a BS reason why you are being cheap. |
