Quick way to add hands to Pokertracker from my friends computer
I played a few thousand hands on my friends computer on party. I tried to email myself the hand history file but when I opened the email that one file had about 12 differnet files in it (the different rooms I played in)
Is there an easier way to import these on to Pokertracker in my computer? |

Re: Quick way to add hands to Pokertracker from my friends computer
I didn't follow all of that ("but when I opened the email that one file had about 12 differnet files in it"?) but all you have to do is export the hands from his machine and import them on yours.
If you're hitting the file# cap, you can use the auto-importer, pointed at that folder. If I'm misunderstanding, or you don't know how to do any of these steps, write back here. -Sam |

Re: Quick way to add hands to Pokertracker from my friends computer
The .txt files are what you want. I'm guessing that's what the 12 different files you're referring to are. Just import those 12 files into pokertracker. (from PT: select file, import hand histories, select hand histories to import....then just select where you downloaded your e-mail files)

[/ QUOTE ] Don't call them different names for one. For instance if I use multiple files I just call it ps1, ps2, and so on. I know XP (unsure of other OS's) has the option of searching for text in a file. Could try doing that. Search for *.txt files with either "poker" or your username in the documents. Should bring up all the files you saved the stuff in. Could also try saving one of those files again (assuming you haven't deleted the emails) and see where it was saving the files to. Probably your My Documents folder. But could be defaulted somewhere else. |

Also, if you wanted, you could always check your email client's preferences to see where it automatically saves attachments. If you downloaded the files using webmail, they are probably in your usual downloads folder. Just try to remember where you go for porn, and you shall find them there. When you say "download" or "save" or whatever, note WHERE it is being saved (maybe something like C:\program files\aol\isgay). Once you figure out where the file attachments to your emails are being saved, you can just point poker tracker right to them. |
