stats checkup, 12k hands
Figured I'd finally post some stats. I've been running really well for two days, which has positively affected by W$SD, but that was to make up for a 160BB downstretch which made it miserable. Awhile ago I was going to showdown too much with nothing, so the low number is understandable and hopefully accounted for.
Total Hands: 11961 VP$IP: 20.82% VP$SB: 37.25% Saw Flop All Hands: 27.51% Saw Flop Not A Blind: 18.72% W$WSF: 30.97% BB/100: 1.57 WtSD: 35.74% W$SD: 47.45% Raised pf: 7.92% Aggression: preflop: .52 flop: 1.85 turn: 2.17 river: 2.41 Total: 1.25 My SD/100 is at 19.3, I'm assuming this is something to be concerned about? Sorry for the sample size, just looking for general ideas and changes. |

Re: stats checkup, 12k hands
tighten up
your agression should be the highest on the flop, lowest on the river not the other way around, you take too many hands to showdown, its likely you are betting your draws on the flop either |

Re: stats checkup, 12k hands
sup homie,
what limits we talking here? if this is .5/1, then your VP$IP is good if you're at loose passive tables, as is PFR...look to mix in more preflop raises for value as you get more comfy postflop. as you move up, you'll have to tighten up a little, but this VPIP can be +EV with a good postflop game. also, you're probably showing down too much. post some hands where you arent sure whether or not you should have called down. |

Re: stats checkup, 12k hands
Yes, it is .5/1 I'm playing at. I would personally consider my postflop play standard currently, good often, but occasionally bad, so I'm not in a rush to play hands that are slightly -EV to start off with and require finesse to win with (yet).

Where do you find the standard deviance? I'm looking all over and can't find mine.

[ QUOTE ] My SD/100 is at 19.3, I'm assuming this is something to be concerned about? [/ QUOTE ] What is the standard standard deviation and what exactly does a high or low number mean? [/ QUOTE ] It has to do with the probable profitability of my play, and the amount I will win or lose in any given 100 hands. From some statistics class a long time ago in my foggy head, I'm assuming that in any given 100 hands, I can expect to be + or - that value + my BB/100. So, I could be -17.5 or +20.5, something like that. A low SD/100 means that in any given 100 hands, I will be getting closer to my BB/100 than I would with a high SD/100. Variability and inconsistent play would lead to a high SD/100. VP$IP will at the basest affect that, because the more hands I'm in, the more I'll vary in stack size. |

Re: stats checkup, 12k hands
So is bigger or smaller a better number here? A large number means big upswings but also big losses correct? Or could it just mean that you win alot? I would think you had to be pretty weak/tight to keep this number down but this is a new concept for me.
