Default Any tips for a newbie to Stud8 tournies?

Recently starting playing the 10/1 Stud8 SNGs on Party. At the moment they seem relatively straightforward -- play tight early, when it gets to 4-5 handed steal when possible, etc. By the time it gets down to 3-5 players so far, the limits are high enough that you're all-in by the river if you go that long, so stealing with a decent sized stack is pretty easy (and you'll know early if you're up against a good hand).

On the other hand, I've only played in a few of these things so far, so these reads (people play way too loose early, then seem, perhaps, too passive in the middle) might be completely off-base.

Any specific/general tips for succeeding in these? Any big difference between these and the 30/3 tournies? (There's a HUGE difference between 1/2 and 3/6 ring games on Party, I've noticed, at least in starting hand selection. At 1/2 it seems half the people will play with any two low cards + a two-flush.)
