Default 6-5s in BB

2/4 NL 6 max Party Poker

The villian has ~160 and i have him covered, he seems pretty capable, i havent shown a hand or played a big pot in 45 minutes of being there.

Villian in MP raises to 14 after a limper from EP, I call in BB w/6-5 flop comes K-5-2 with 2 diamonds, I bet the pot out and villian pushes all in, I call, this is an easy call right? River comes a diamond and i drag the pot in, he had QQ

He complains that I drew out on him and how he knew he had the best hand when the money went in, but his play is awful right? Hes either getting in as small favorite or huge dog.

Any comments on how you would of played the hand other then preflop as i have a real soft spot for suited connectors

Thanks

This is from twodimes.net - check it out for your poker calculations...

Holdem Hi: 990 enumerated boards containing 5s Kd 2d
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Qs Qh 488 49.29 502 50.71 0 0.00 0.493
6d 5d 502 50.71 488 49.29 0 0.00 0.507

You are an extremely small favorite on the flop - so yes the guy is an idiot.

Also the mid-high stakes forum is generally for deep stacks or 2-5 and higher nl games so you would probably get more appropriate responses in the small stakes forum as your strategy would potentially be different if you had 300BB stacks.

I know but I want to hear from better players, I am young, just turned 19 and up around $20,000 in a year online, I know thats not alot for most of you but I think by learning what players of higher levels would do helps me see the game alot better

Personally, I don't make this call pf without a large stack and some implied odds. I like s/c too but I think you overplayed this one. MP doesn't have enough chips for me to bother with this hand.

Also, I think his push was better than your call.
Having said that, after you've led and bet the pot on the flop you sort of have to make the call now.

I would have c/r all in on the flop, I see more fold equity that way - when you bet the pot on the flop it sort of dictates a call but it looks like that's what you wanted.
I am also very aggro with my draws but ultimately I would be going all in hoping he lays the pair down, not calling his all-in. If he does call it's ok cos I'm 50/50, the c/r just gives a bit more fold equity IMO.

So you deliberately broke the posting guidelines. Not cool. Perhaps the administrator will give you a time out.

Fold pre-flop. You're not deep enough and suited connecters are a terrible hand out of position.
