Default AKs in the big blind

Alright, so I am done raising limpers in the small blind with KQs.
But how about AKs in the BB?

Do you even take a shot at the pot on the flop? Or is this an easy check-fold?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (9 handed) converter

Button ($53.45)
SB ($90.8)
Hero ($49)
UTG ($169.9)
UTG+1 ($24)
MP1 ($71.55)
MP2 ($118.7)
MP3 ($45.45)
CO ($48.5)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG calls $1, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $1, MP3 calls $1, CO folds, Button folds, SB (poster) completes, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $4</font>, UTG calls $4, MP2 calls $4, MP3 folds, SB folds.

I raise 4x the BB + 1BB per limper.

Do you bet half pot when hit?

I would check/fold that flop unless it is heads up, probably. Of course it depends on the opponents, but that would be my first inclination. And I would have raised more preflop. It is already a big pot when you raise.

If you are going to bet that flop, which I would probably never do, you must bet bigger and show some strength. That's nearly the worst flop you could have for your hand.
