Default My nightmare (little strateegery content)

I had a poker dream last night. I was at the final table of a tournament.

I had black KK. Flop was KKx.
I check. Lone opponent checks.
Turn A.
He bets some. I call.
River 5.
This is where it gets dicey. I have him covered by a little bit.

He has one tall stack of chips left and grabs them with one hand with his index finger capping the top. He pushes them into the pot without saying anything.

I instantly say All-in and flip up my KK.

The dealer sweeps my KK towards the board, pushes the AKK cards forward from the board and says "four of a kind, kings".

The player calmly looks at the TD and says, "dead hand".

I look at him funny and realize that he had a lone chip still protecting his cards. Since I had him covered, and he didn't say "all in" when he grabbed the stack of chips, he hadn't officially called the bet, yet.
Since I turned my hand face up prematurely, and it's a tournament, my hand is dead by the TDA rules.
I look quizzically at the TD, and he shrugs, and I wake up in a cold sweat.

More seriously, If he moved in so many chips, and he can only call or fold, didn't he act? Its exactly why string bet angle shooting is not allowed.

Did you flip them up "Matador" style? Serves you right for being so cocky.

Your new avatar is having a strange effect on you.
