You need a more money and playing higher limits to be making $250 a week than just a $50 bankroll.

If your NL experience is mostly Pokerchamps freerolls then you probably have a lot more learning to do before you're making money. Here's a thread that may prove helpful to you. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...amp;PHPSESSID=
Pacific and Party Poker are probably the fishiest sites if you can't make it to any live cardroom games.
Good luck.

Ya think?

I suppose he could get really lucky, but I don't understand the math here either.

Assuming playing 20 hours/week he would need to make $12.5 per hour.

That could be done with 3BB/Hr x 4 tables at .5/1 ($300 bankroll).

Yes, just a bit.

Or he could play .10/.20 with that $50. Assuming 4BB/100 and 60 hands per hour, that will only take 31,250 hands or 520 table hours.

Assuming 4 tabling, only 130 hrs/week is needed (i.e. 5.5 days straight).

You might want to be a little less ambitious with your money making goals at this point. And as mentioned, $50 isn't a lot of money

A good goal would be to give it a try and not lose the $50. If you were able to pull that off, that would put you ahead of most, to be sure. I'd recommend going to Pacific and starting out at the 5 and 10c games. Then after you get a feel for real money, which is a whole lot different than play money even at this small of a level, you can gradually move up to bigger limits.
