Poker rates in AC
I'm going to be heading back east in a few weeks, and plan on heading out to AC for a nite or 2 while I'm there... so what places have the best poker rates?? I saw the thread on borgata, but what about Taj, or any other places?

i dont know about taj, but at the trop the max you can get is $2.11 per hour. this is for 10-20 and up i believe.

Do you mean comp rate or room rate? Comp rate at the Trop is $0.50 per hour for 2-4, $1 per hour at $4-$8, and higher for above. Room rate is $85 per night weekends minimum 4 hours average play per visit, reservations required several weeks in advance.

no, the TROP
a few weeks ago I stayed a Friday night at the Trop and got the poker room rate of $85 plus tax. Call to confirm.

For January mid week in AC you can stay for $40 or $50 at almost any casino, with no poker rate or comp. Check their websites.
I just saw you are staying on the weekend, still some deals will be available for under $100 at the Trop with the poker rate

they give you $40 for a room at the borgata, but they kind of screw you out of it if you havent played there before. so when you call them on the phone and reserve the poker rate make sure you get it, cause last time i went there with a friend they jipped us and we had to pay the full price on the room.

[/ QUOTE ] i stayed there regular rate for $49 two thursdays ago. they cleaned the trop up quite a bit and it is actually a pretty nice place to stay now
