SB is very, very loose but passive

i agree. even though you were way behind the entire hand, SB would not have bet out on the flop on a made straight, nor would he have fired twice with a draw on a one card straight. even though he was passive, 9 times out of 10 they're going to checkraise the preflop raiser with a monster hand. this leaves 2 pair to be a likely hand that SB was trying to protect. bet the river, the straight is not likely.
