Just got back from vegas...
PLayed some 3-6 at the Mirage
Was up $124 after 2 hours of play, from 3-5 pm, I think that was pretty good. Seemed as though there were alot of regulars there, but mainly the play was pretty bad, especially by the player to my left, a kid about my age, low 20s. Here are two hand of note: Second hand after I sit down: Dealt KK (Nice huh) Raise the blind, get 4 callers Flop K 9 2 Checked around to me who raises, get 1 caller Turn Q Checked to me, I bet, he raises (I am thinking straight at this point so I just call.) River K He bets, I put on the acting show of the century, and after about 2 minutes I raise into him, he calls and I take down pot, he says he had a straight So my question on this hand is whether or not I should have reraised him on the turn??? Hand 2: I am in the small blind with 78 un suited, I call as do about 5 others including the kid to my left in the big blind who checks. Flop 4 5 6 with the 4 and 5 of clubs I check, kid bets, man after raises one caller after, I call because the kid was so excited he said raise before I acted, he raises and it comes back around to me and I cap (Should I have capped here) 4 callers Turn is a Q I bet kid and one other call. River is a 2 I bet, kid calls, man after raises, I reraise, both call Kid shows 37 for a straight before I show 78 for the nut straight, other man mucks...I think he has a set but not sure The main question is if I should have capped after the flop or waited to bet on the turn. Thanks all Funny story at the end, my GF came to get me after shopping and so I left the table with over 2 racks, and when I cashed them in for $224 up $124, she said, "Is that it?" Nice huh |

Re: Just got back from vegas...
No prob. I think we all go through that "Hollywood" stage. I'll admit I used to do it, and you know what? It might still work on a rookie player. But I see guys do it all the time, and 99 out of 100 times they have the nuts.
