I'll take the over on 5,000.

What I'm really wondering is what the numbers will look like in 2006.

My guess is that 2005 will mark a peak in attendance and subsequent years will fall back into cozier 2004-ish numbers within 5 years.

Might make for a good prop bet--will 2006 have a larger/smaller field than 2005. I'll say smaller and lay 3-2.

I don't think they will cap it, and even if for some reason they announce some kind of cap now, they won't have one when it comes down to it.

7746 entrants exactly. 7747 if I can win a satellite. No need for an over/under.
