Default Great Hand

The other night. Commerce 10/20.

3 limpers to the button, who makes it $100.

Blinds fold, all 3 limpers call.

Flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked around to the button who bets $1600

No, it was actually the biggest idiot I've ever played with. Your line of thinking, though creative, was certainly not his, he's just that dumb.

Pretty sure he had AA.

what's wrong with his line? You have to bet big to fold out the draws.

#1 is that from the yoda school of poker?

#2 i don't think this contradicts what i said. i think pretty good - great players are generally less common than mediocre players.

#3 please give me some reasonable scenarios involving typical opponents in which a great player would expect this bet to get more action than a bet close to the pot size.
