Two 99 hands, two value bets?
I think these are both river value bets, what do you all think?

Re: Two 99 hands, two value bets?
hand 1: I'd probably bet this against two LP/LA, but I think it's pretty close. I might be wrong though, betting might be a mistake against two others. I'm fairly certain I'd value-bet against one player.
hand 2 I'd bet this turn, and I'd probably bet/fold this river, as Villain will call with hands he won't bet w/ (a 2, smaller PP) and probably raise with only hands that beat you. |

Re: Two 99 hands, two value bets?
Id bet the rive in 1). There has been no reply to your bets and a K would surely have bet the river. The bet also makes them think you may have a K so they may fold a J.
Hand 2. There is an A out and many people like weak aces. Since no fire on the turn after your check, I think you are still good. The 8 could be bad but there are only 2 8s left. Bet that river too. |

Re: Two 99 hands, two value bets?
#2 is a pretty easy bet IMO.
#1 is a check for me. If you get called, I don't see you winning your fair share. What is a table coach going to call with here that you beat??? Table coaches don't like showing down losers (it is bad for their image). I guess SB could call hoping that you are bluffing, but it would be real thin value at best IMO. Brad |

I played both hands the way you would have.
