I use them all the time.

Agent Newsreader (http://www.forteinc.com/agent/index.php), and I have a Newsguy (http://www.newsguy.com/) account. It's not free, but it's worth the $80 a year to me. I could use my ISPs news server for free, but posts expire every couple of days, while on Newsguy they stay around a lot longer, and there is a much better chance of getting a complete file.
