I'll just fold. The pot is not big. You'll get 1 to 4 to call (which I'll call with a flushdraw almost always) This is an exception though. With this paired board you don't know if you'll win if you hit your flush. You might be up against a full house or a bigger flushdraw. If you're ahead when you hit your flush on the turn you're up against strong redraws, that's for sure. Easy fold!

I disagree. Cap the flop and you've already got $5 in the pot going to the turn with 9 outs.

I would say about 20 rivercards costs you the pot if you hit your flush on the turn. Add to that the possibility that you're already behind to a fullhouse or higher flush. Didn't see CO's coldcall though, which makes it a little closer but not enough. Please feel free disagree, but I would like some arguments.

Why are you assuming there is a FH out there? If I assumed that everytime the board paired, I'd make alot less money playing poker.

Well my uncle is currently employed by the University of Louisianna Lafayette, and my two cousins are 23 and 18. If you were younger I'd have tried to see if you knew them

Assume you have one trip seven, one 8 and one overcard club against you. (but no made hands or higher flushdraws on the flop)
Trip seven has 3+2+3+3=11 outs
8 has 2 extra outs
overcard club has 6-7 outs
Gives that's 19-20 disasterous cards to the river. (And that's assuming there's NO full house out or any stronger flushdraws which is not unlikely with this flop agression)

If they play poker around here I might have met them. Other than that, probably not. ULL, my alma mater. It used to be called The University Of Southwest Louisiana, or USL. We called it the Univerisity of Sex and Lust or The University of Slow Learning.
