Heads up Hand - Call this all in
Heads up Final Table.
Winner gets $1,4000 2nd Place gets $950. Hero is SB/Button and has a huge chip lead - 650,000 - 98,000. Blinds are 10k/20k, No antes Hero is dealt 87s and completes. BB Min Raises to 40K. Hero calls Flops is 4 6 T - Rainbow. BB Goes all in for his last 58K. Call or Fold? BB Has been playing very tight, and only showing down premium hands. I have taken about 70K from him without a showdown. Likely holdings here - Any 2 broadway - he paired the board ( Probably the Ten) - Any Pocket Pair |

Re: Heads up Hand - Call this all in
I'd fold. You may barely have the odds against his likely holdings, but if he's playing that tight you'll have better spots.

Re: Heads up Hand - Call this all in
I agree with Aces. You're barely getting odds to call, but it's still not worth it. You can use your lead to grind him to dust, don't double him up on a coin-flip.

Thoughts And Results
When it came back to me, I had to do some quick thinking.
Please keep in mind, it was currently 3 AM and I was a bit tired. I had quit my other table action long ago, and was just concentrating on the final table. Based on my aggression I figured if he had a real hand he would have checked to me hoping I bet. He has been playing tight and passive which would work well for a trap against my agressive bullying, so I put him off big pocket pairs, or a Ten as he would probably let me "bluff". So now I have him on any 2 broadway, or a smaller PP. I think he wants to take down the pot right there, and doesn't want me to be able to see a free card to maybe catch a piece of it. I think it's more likely he has 2 broadway, or a baby PP, tha I would have to fold my over cards to. I go ahead and call - and he flips over AJ. Best situation I could hope for - both my cards are live, and so are both my straight draws. I have 14 outs - 2 times. Turn brings me a nice 5. I go to bed 1,400 richer. |
