If all the Wal-Marts were closed down, would it be good for America?

I don't know about America, but it wouldn't be good for me. Who else sells Mobil 1 oil for under 20 bucks a jug and does it 24 hours a day? Good deal.

Who decides what is "Good for America"?

If Wal-mart was not "Good for America", would it be the most popular retailer in history?

I think a reasonable argument could be made that those two things are not necessarily linked. I'm not arguing the point weather or not it's good for america, just that the fact that it's popular does not necessarily make it good.

That would be the question. Before that one is answered I don't think the real question can be answered.
