PP 15/30: And Another
Just sat down, no reads on either player.
Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (3 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, BB calls, CO calls. Turn: (3 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, BB calls, CO folds. River: (5 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero ??? OK, my standard play is to bet here. I'm not folding to a single bet if I check, and I figure someone with a worse hand is checking while a better hand is betting, so I make the minimum and lose the maximum? That said, I'm not sure how to deal with a raise. If I bet out I have to call the raise right? Help me think this decision through. Thanks again for the help. |

Bet and fold to a raise, until you get a good read on the player in the BB.

Re: PP 15/30: And Another
It makes it harder that it's the party 15 game cause they love calling down sooooooooo lightly, but the more I think about it a check call is probably the best option. You may even get an overagressive player to bet their busted draw that wouldn't have called you. It is pretty damn close though.
If you be and get raised...blegh! I pay off way too much on the river, but I think you have to fold here. You can't beat any queens and you lose to trips or a straight. It's not worth betting and getting pushed off a hand that one time in a while he's bluffing, either. Check call it. |
