Me, sometime in 2007. Right now, I'm not even the best player at the 4/8

Check out this post from a while back.
ATTN: Canterbury Players

That should pretty much answer the question.
Other very good players...
Chris O (Vehn)
Carl
Sounds like Schneids, Bicycle Kick and Andy B are crushing this game too.

I might have guessed that. As for myself, I'm beating the game, but hardly crushing it.

just out of curiosity, any of you ever play with this anonymous blogger...? And if so.... distracting?

ex-exotic dancer, theatre manager turned "pro" poker player.... has several Canterbury trip reports playing 30/60.

Alright, so crushing may have been an exaggeration.

The thread that Jason points to addresses the question of who is the best limit hold'em player at Canterbury is, and the consensus was that it's Mike C. I have actually avoided Mike thus far (game selection, y'know), so I guess I really can't say.

You're asking who the best overall $30/60 player is, which I take to mean that you're interested in more than who the best limit hold'em player is. This is a tough question to answer, because everyone has incomplete packages. Jason mentioned Carl, who is one of the best hold'em players in that room, but his stud/8 game stinks. I have no idea if he's ever played Omaha/8 or not. Vehn is also an excellent hold'em player, and his stud/8 game is actually pretty good. At the risk of sounding arrogant, Johnny O and I are probably the two best stud/8 players in that place. I don't think either of us would make anyone's list of most-feared hold'em opponents, though, although both of us beat the game. I can only function at Omaha/8 if the game is very loose, and even there, my game leaves something to be desired. I think that Eddie G deserves mention as an overall player. I'm pretty sure that he's made more money from poker than anyone else in Minnesota, but he's been at it for a looooong time. His kids are my age, fer cryin' out loud. Matt H is a tad overaggressive, but he plays all three games pretty well.

The best limit hold'em player in the state just might be Gully. He's the best that I've played against. Most of the kids participating in that thread have probably never played with Gully, as he hasn't been around Canterbury lately. Johnny O thinks he's better than Mike C, and he is very, very good.

Who's making the most money? Probably Mike C. You don't need to play the other games to make a good living in that room, although knowing stud/8 and Omaha/8 sure is nice come tournament time. Who's the best overall? I don't know, and more than likely, neither does anyone else.

A picture might help. There was a stripper who used to play a lot of $8/16 and $15/30. Haven't seen her in quite a while. I didn't think she was all that attractive, and I was deluding myself into thinking I was happily married at the time, so I didn't pay much attention to her. Seriously, I have no idea who this is.

Do people actually read crap like this?

I mean the blog, not my posts.

Delusional. Seriously delusional.

well since there are only 2 players that could make a living in any one of the 3 big games, or a mix game of all 3, i'd say it would have to be one of those 2 guys
