Default Software error in a Pacific Poker tounry and I got ripped off-HELP!!!!

Below is a letter I wrote to pacific poker after the blinds in their tournament incorrectly went to 20,000-40,000 instead of 2000-4000
Please tell me if I am off base by thinging that I am getting screwed here
Everything is fully explained in the letter that I sent them:

To whom it may concern:
I have been a member of pacific poker for a while now and I have only had one problem in the past and that was promptly resolved. I hope that my current problem will be handled in the same professional manner.
I was playing in a 500 person 5+. 50 buy in tournament and there was an intermission with 8 people left. Going into the final table I had approximatly 60,000 in chips, the large stack had about 90,000 and the small stack had less than 7,000. The blinds were at 1,500-3000 and were to be 2,000-4,000 when the intermission was over. When the time on the intermission elsapsed the tournament froze for a few minutes and when it returned the blinds were set at an inncorrect 20,000-40000 ( ten times what the should have been!) Only one person even had enough to cover 2 big blinds. With the small and big blinds adding up to my whole stack inccorectly i was knocked out in sixth place rather unjustly. Once i was eliminated it froze again and has not started back up. I think that the remaing 5 people will split the prized money which is not right. The person with 7000 chips had no chance of winning and will be rewarded for a software error. While nothing would ever be comletely fair this is what I propose:
Give the final 8 people the percentage of their chip stack that corresponds to the percentage of the total prize money to be awarded ( for exacmple if someone had half of the chips in play give them half of all of the total prize money)

In this case there was 400,000 chips in play ( 500 people at 800 chips each)
The top 8 prizes total appoximatley 1712 dollars ( I know that 1st was $625, 2nd was $375 , 3rd was $200 , 4th was $150 , 5th was $125 , 6th was $100, 7th was $75 and 8th was $62)
At the time I had approximatly 60,000 chips left which represents 15% of the chips in play
I feel then that I am entitled to 15% of the 1712 dollars left in prize money which would be 257 dollars
I did receive 100 dollars already for my 6th place finish so I feel that my account should be credited with 157 dollars
Thank You

This is their response which I think is total nonsense:
Dear xxxxxx,

Thank you for writing to us.

xxxxxx, I do apologize for the difficulties you have been experiencing.

I have looked through your game history from November 5th to November
7th. I have located two tournaments with a $5+0.50 buy-in.

The first tournament was ID number 1258960 which you won $100 in. The
other tournament I have located is tournament ID number 1266019 played
on November 6th. I have carefully looked through the play of this
tournament and see that there was no abnormality regarding the blinds
during this tournament.
Thomas, to facilitate the search I would kindly ask if you could provide
us with the tournament ID number. You may obtain this information from
the game history button located in the lobby. Once in you game history
please click on the muti-table tournaments. There you will be able to
view the history of these tournaments and their ID numbers.

Thomas, I hope to hearing from you soon so that we may resolve this
issue.

If you require further assistance in this or any other matter, please
feel free to contact us - we are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.

Kind Regards,
Giovanni

Find the tourney number for them, and copy/paste the hand before and the hand after the blind error.

Send them the exact hand numbers.

Asking Pacific to find an error for you is just not going to work, you'll have to present them with all the relevant information and talk as if talking to a small child.

Have had other issues w/ the SW simular to yours.
As a result, play very little here, and more on Stars and party. The latter sites are much more reliable.

this is there response
what a load of crap:
actually i put the tournament in the subject line of my original email to them
this is what they wrote back:
Hi Thomas,

Thank you for contacting us.

Thomas, thanks to the information that you have provided I have been
able to locate the tournament in question.

I have notified our technical department so that they can investigate
this error further. Thank you for brining this to our attention.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer you any additional compensation for this
tournament as you did complete the tournament and won $100 ($95 profit).

The policies that we have in place would be for me to refund you the
tournament buyin, but I would have to void this tournament for you and
you would lose your $95 profit which I don?t think either of us wants.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and I assure you our
technical department will find out what happened. Thanks again for your
support.

Regards,
Dean

Their response is absolutely ridiculous. I would never play at a site with customer service like this. You certainly are entitled to your share of a chip count split. The tournament was effectively terminated by their error.

To not allow you to participate would honestly be ludicrous if I am understanding the situation correctly.
