I'm a pretty big fan of Microsoft's Intellimouse Optical USB mouse. The customizable side buttons rule.

Re: just got my new CRT moniter and realized something while 4 tabling
I would advise against a wireless. They are too easy to throw when pissed at a bad beat (I've busted 2). Just get a decent USB optical mouse with a scroll wheel. Logitech and Microsoft both make good mice. You can get one for under $20.
If you do go wireless, get the kind that you can stick in a charger. Changing batteries every week or so sucks ass. Also having your mouse die when you flop a set of aces really really sucks. |

I really like this one. It took some time to learn how to use but worth it. I like that it has 2 different ways of operating so I can switch back and forth to avoid fatigue. I would get the spare battery.

Well, there are pros and cons to getting a mouse with the tail.
Should you toss it, it is much lighter than the wireless ones thereby reducing the risk of making big dents in the wall. On the other hand, if there is no wall in front of you it might be better to go with the wireless, because that reduces the risk of tearing out the USB port, ruining the motherboard. In any event make sure you get one with a good optical sensor. |

Optical is definitely a must; wireless is up to you, but the latest model optical Logitechs get great reviews. I use a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer that's an optical, and it's great. You can use it on any surface, and it never skips and struggles because of bits of dust, hair, or goop gumming up the interior rollers, which happens all the time with regular mice. It really is a nice innovation. They go on sale a LOT too.

You can't go wrong much with Logitech MX1000.

I picked up the Logitech MX Duo for $70 at newegg.com. It's only got the MX700, but it's still tight.

The gyration mouse is incredible, you won't regret it. [/ QUOTE ] It is the best money I ever spent. Before swithcing to it I couldn't open doors etc with my right hand. I think the battery life leaves something to be desired, but it is good for about 11-13 hours. I would definitely get the spare battery. RR |
