Default Pstars 10+1 20k guaranteed

Tonight will be the 4th time I've played in what has become my favorite online tournament.
Placed in the money once, finished on the bubble once (5 positions away) and Finished about 100 back of the money once.

Anyone else playing tonight?

First annoyance of the evening.
Get dealt Pocket Cowboys in the small blind and run into pocket Aces.

went from over 4k down to 1.7k

I doubled up to 6k on the first hand and then went back down to 3k on the very next hand. AJ the first time, A9 the 2nd. Someone should remind me that a nine kicker isn't any good.

Default 1st hour

was forced to rebuy when a few hands after the KK vs AA hand my AK failed to hold up.

Ended up catching a couple of hands though taking me from the 1500 to 4000 by the break. Most notably I had K10 and called a few hundered raise. Flopped top 2 pair, guy bets and I call. Guy makes a large bet (most of his stack) so i go all in forcing him to use the rest of it.
He shows A7 offsuit.
wrong pot to bluff i guess.

after add-on i'm at 6000 which I'll easily accept.

Just another note. I know this is only the 4th time that I've played in this tourney, but there are some names that i've allready shared a table with in previous tournies.
I also watched a guy today drop at least 90.
I'd be curious to see how these players that drop a lot of money into it do regularly.
I usually limit myself to 40 (20 right away, an addon and one rebuy if necessary).

Default Re: 1st hour

worked my way to 11k+
lost a big hand and went back down to 6K
got back up to about 8ish and lost an all in preflop hand.

my pocket 9's lost to pocket aces.
someone raised to 600 and there were 4 or 5 callers....
next guy went all in and I thought he was bluffing (everyone in for 600 and he puts 8k all in) and was wrong.

oopsie.
