Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
Who did the worst job in his first term. Sorry if I left anyone out.

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
You left off Ashcroft. I'd say it's a near tie between him and Rummy.

I like Rummy. Ashcroft went too far though.

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
Carl Rove needs to be included, he gets my vote besides W himself.

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
That was a tough call. Colin Powell has been awful, but Michael Powell is just running amok. The retired general's position is more important, though, so I went with him as worst.

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
Well, Sec State can't be a neocon hawk for the obvious same reason Sec Defense can't be a liberal dove. What about
That said, the little war in the Bush Administration over Iraq policy and such went a little too far, and I think Colin Powell was right about bringing in more troops and postwar planning. But Bush and the hawks were aggressive, and Colin wouldn't have been able to be as aggressive as Bush was. The more reserved Rock/TAG position versus the maniac/dangerous LAG... Interesting. And what about George Tenet? He's got to get some love (or hate, as the case may be). Based on people who can't seem to do their job, it seems like Condi wasn't good at all, though she never took any controversial stances, which gets more flak and press than plain old incompetence, even though controversial stances contribute a lot more than incompetence. So, I don't know who is the most incompetent. |

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
No, you don't need an unrestrained hawk at State, but you at least need someone who can take charge of his bureaucracy.
Colin Powell's underlings showed no interest in implementing the President's policies, to the point of Armitage calling Iran a "democracy." |

Re: Worst Member of Bush\'s Administration?
What an idiot... I actually decided to make the survery when thinking about Aschcroft, then left him out... I should have included tenet too. Rove was left out on purpose.
I ban myself from creating new threads for one week. |
