.5/1.00 vs 1/2
I'm curious about your guys opinions on the .50/1.00 tables vs. the 1/2 tables at Party. Do you notice a difference in opponents skill levels?
Also, have you noticed a difference in the time of day you play? Im talking about limit holdem', but I think it is probably close for all the games. |

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
You will probably get a better response if you post in the Microlimit forum.
However, while I don't currently play either limit, I was watching someone play 1/2 today and it seems a lot like .5/1 from what I can tell, but tighter. -Craig |

Yeah, I thought it should go in the microlimit forum, but I thought it was also sort of general. It could be 7-stud, Omaha...but yeah I see your point.

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
From recent memory (3 or 4 months ago). 1/2 is less of a rock garden then everyone claims it is. I'd say there are some tighter spots at 1/2 but not enough to make it a bad game. When I was playing 2/4 i'd step down to 1/2 when i needed to get bonuses cleared in a jiffy because the rake kicks in a lot sooner there but it seemed like the same game. 2/4 is still somewhat loose and passive and 3/6 is tighter for the most part and more aggro. (this discussion has taken place a million times might i add, so a search might be helpful)

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
I think at any limit where 6-max is more popular than full ring, the full ring games will be tighter on average.
Daytime (US) is generally tighter than evenings. Good tables are to be found regardless. |

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
According to my very limited experience, 1/2 is better than .5/1 to clear bonus. You get larger raked hand percentage. It is not that tight if you can find a good table. Normally you can.

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
Party 50c/$1 is a piece of cake 99.5% of the time.
Party $1/2 is a piece of cake 90% of the time. |

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
right now, weekdays evening at 1/2 are rockfests. .5/1 are much easier to beat and are beatable 24/7 where it is best to play 1/2 on weekends.

Re: .5/1.00 vs 1/2
The 1/2 games are worse than the .5/1 and the 2/4 games IMO. I think its because of the 6/9 max tables offered at 1/2. I beat the 3/6 at the same rate I beat the 1/2(bb/100) and with any poker knowledge you should have no trouble destroying the .5/1.
