AKs - TPTK on turn - draw heavy board
SB is LA-P.
BB is TP-A. Ultimate Bet 5/10 (10 Handed) Pre-Flop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: 6 SB (3 players) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB calls, Hero calls, SB calls. Turn: 9 SB (3 players) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB bets, Hero ??????? Comments appreciated on my play on the flop, and what is the best play on the turn based on how I have played the hand thus far. |

Re: AKs - TPTK on turn - draw heavy board
Your hand is broken. It shows you and BB calling and noone betting.
In any case though, I don't think this is the world's greatest board to be calling with overcards. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this one too. |

Re: AKs - TPTK on turn - draw heavy board
I'd raise the turn. BB's more likely to have a Q or 9 than a made flush here. This puts SB to the test, also. If he comes alive and three-bets, I'd fold.
I'd be tempted to raise the flop here also. SB's action would give you good info on his hand, and if BB is betting out on a draw, I'd like to have it heads up against him if possible. |

Flop: 6 SB (3 players) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
SB checks, BB BETS, Hero calls, SB calls. (I guess BB bets) Marginal call on the flop, you likely have 2 good outs with the aces, the diamond is tainted, the kings may be even more tainted. Back-door flush and str gives 2 more outs. I think its more correct to raise the flop to ditch any gut-shot-draws. I would raise the turn, and absolutly hate to be 3-bet but be equally worried if SB calls 2 cold on the turn. |

Re: AKs - TPTK on turn - draw heavy board
The more I look at this, the more the flop looks like a raise or fold situation. The outs just aren't there to call.
Put him on a flush or straight draw and raise. Hopefully this eliminates SB and lets you take control of the hand for an extra small bet. Either that or fold. |
