I voted for raise to shut out the first two players and get a free card if unimproved on the turn. If 3-bet, I call and fold the turn unimproved.

A raise here is almost automatic unless I'm playing a very good player.

i said raise. this board is scarier than most and is approaching the rare fold for one bet with overcards threshold.. although i honestly can't remember the last time i did.. but it happens.. more often with KJo though. backdoor draws are always nice to have on the more coordinated flops.

This is crazy. I hope youre only trying to prove a point. Folding is obvious here. That board is so draw heavy and you dont have crap. Even if they are semi bluffing with a draw (leaving you ahead), you arent in good shape. Im really not looking to see the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], so theres only 6 cards that help my hand. I dont get why people are saying raise. Putting in two small bets here makes me sick.

This is one of those boards that I'm not really terribly happy with. No backdoor draws and it's somewhat coordinated.

I've previously been in the raise camp, but if I get 3-bet, I don't even know if I've got odds to call the turn here. I don't know what outs are good, if any, or if I'm drawing dead. I'm also not closing the action...is raising setting myself up to make an expensive second-best hand?

If you don't like the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], you've got 4 cards you want to see, not 6. Just a small quibbling point.

honestly its probably pretty close between folding, calling, and raising. the only reason to raise this is because of your relative and absolute position.

if there was a caller or two in between, you should probably just call and fold the turn unimproved. you can't isolate when others have called and a raise solely for a free card is pushing an edge you just don't have. enough turn cards are scary that you'll fold to a single turn bet UI.

if you did not have the button, i might fold. with the button and these players, free cards work quite often. a read helps make this decision easier.
