Default Starting out

Well, I'm shifting from cash games to MTT's, they just seem more interesting than the limit grind that I've been going through. A few quick questions...

I've played ALOT of freerolls as practice as well as the lower buyin tourneys at paradise and empire (don't want to invest too much into something new) and I placed 13th at the 4000 man at paradise and won about 150 dollars in bonus money from the UB tourneys.

A few tips would be appreciated from the more experienced MTTers. At the start of a very loose low buyin MTT, what should my strategy be? Versus a very loose table, I usually play rather tight, but I get impatient and feel the need to outplay my opponents (they're all so awful). Alot of the time I draw really weak tight tables, and I'm able to capitalize on them. Should I remain tight at a loose table? If I'm playing solid and the blinds start to creep up on me while im getting cold cards, I tend to get way too desperate and I end up doing something stupid.

So, general tips about the beginning to end strategy of a good MTTer would really help me out alot. Thanks!
