Preflop Question - KJo
You guys don't have a micro or low limit s/handed forum so I'm gonna have to bother you.
I'm really trying to get to grips with 6-max limit and am playing down at lowly .5/1 at G Club anyway, 6-handed and I'm in the SB with KJo. UTG Limps and the CO raises, button folds, I fold. The raiser was new to the table so no read on him. Is this a standard fold? |

Re: Preflop Question - KJo
Seems like a good fold to me. Especially as you are learning it's best to err on the tight side.

Re: Preflop Question - KJo
3-bet.
A raise from the CO will come (in 6 max) from a lot of hands that KJo is in good shape against. |

Re: Preflop Question - KJo
Seem like a fold usually. But i find myself occasionally calling this especially in 15/30 games with 10-15 blinds structure and proceed with at least a pair with flop.
I never 3 bet here, cause 80% of time you cannot get it HU as UTG will call and i don't like to find myself with K-high out of position. AJ/88/ATs is borderline here for 3-bet i guess as it will be 3 or more way majority of time. AT/KQ/A8s/KJs/55 i like calling - sometimes KJo,Axs,any pair if raiser is LAG and i plan to proceed by hitting the flop (with pocket pair i "hit" a flop when no A,K,Q on board as well as with set). |
