Default How much do you buy in for?

I am just wondering what you guys typically buy in for at your regular limit. I always buy in for a MINIMUM of 25BB but usually more like 40 or 50 if i have it on me. Even when i buyin for 25BB though i tend to get a ton of comments like "gee kid you think you bought in for enough?" etc. I have always thought that 25BB was standard but at the B&M i have been going to lately (viejas in san diego) people usually buy in for like 1 rack even if its an 8/16 yellow chip game...so thats only 12.5BB which seems way low to me. I guess they are just fish and i shouldnt pay any attention to them...

25BB's is fine, but I have more in my pocket, just in case I need it.

I play two regular B&M limits these days - 6/12 and 15/30. For 6/12 I buy in for 300 (25 BBs) and for 15/30 I buy in for 600. I could stand a few more stacks of red, like 7 or 800, but 6 suits me just fine when I actually make it out there.

Sat with a guy at 15/30 on saturday who bought in for 250. That's right, 8 bets. Funny thing is, when he goes bust (which he was bound to do), he goes and buys in for another 200. Seems like it'd make more sense to put 450 down at once, minimum, doesn't it? Go figure.

i always only buy-in for 20BBs. in my opinion, it seems to be about the average--- i don't like attracting attention with a big buy-in.

Thread hijack warning: How would you adjust your buy-in for a half-kill or full-kill game, in terms of BB's?

I think that guy went to the ATM (the ATMs at Canterbury dispense C-notes). Going to play $15/30 with $250 in your pocket is a little ridiculous, though.

My standard buy-in is 25 BB. When I play $30/60 HE, which I haven't in a while, I buy in for $2000. I just hate feeling short-stacked.

I play lower limits (2/4 and 3/6) and usually buy in for 20 BB and still look like the big stack when I arrive.

I was playing commerce 2/4 last weekend and saw a guy buy in for $20 (5 BB's) three times in an hour.

Twenty BB's is the minimum I would buy in for with another twenty in my pocket.
