Default Blind Battle

2nd round of a Lucky Chances monday tourney ($45 w/ 1 $40 rebuy...I rebuy right away and start w/ t2500)

I start the hand w/ about 3k. I was standing in line to sign up for the tourney and struck up a conversation with the guy who happened to be my opponent on the following hand. He normally plays limit tourneys, and I have a feeling that he plays pretty ABC, maybe a little passive preflop (he raised a limper w/ KK, got a caller in between, was reraised, and flat called preflop, moved in when the flop came K high). That's really the only full hand read I had on him, but he felt pretty straight forward to me (this probably doesn't make sense to you PokerStars folks )

Here's the hand:

Blinds 25/50
I have about t3000.
He doubled up in his KK hand and has about t2200 (and a rebuy chip)
Everyone folds to my buddy in the SB, he completes.
I throw in another t100 chip with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], he calls.

Flop (t300 in the pot):

A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet out t300.

He mini-raises to t600.

What in the world do I do there?

edit-

i just reread your history of the player and I think i would dump this hand.

if he could play kings in that fashion he may very well have a set or a better ace than you at this point.

i don't think it's worth tangling with him at this point, if you reraise you're risking another 300 chips that he'll dump the hand. if he comes over the top then you will be in a real bind.

tough hand.....

Icky. I think a min-raise from the sort of ABC player you describe is quite likely to be a very good hand (2 pair or better). I'd muck, but I'd keep a close eye out to see how often he min-raises what could be a "steal" bet heads up. Some players do this as a complete bluff if they think their opponent is bluffing too. Some players will only do this with big hands.

I asked him to count down, and he did so pretty confidently...I normally don't go w/ gut reactions, but it all just screamed monster to me. I mucked and he showed me ATo. I play goot.
