Default Some Newbie 6-max questions #4

Howdy and thanks to everybody who keeps offering advice for my questions. This time I want to ask about blind defense situations. For each hand I'm curious how you would play in the small blind, assuming a standard blind structure and no reads on the other players.

1) UTG raises, nobody calls
2) UTG raises, 2 people cold call
3) Everybody folds to the button who raises

A8s
KJ
Q9s
77

1)
A8s fold
KJ fold
Q9s fold
77 3-bet

These answers depend a lot on UTG's raising standards. When he is a light raiser I call them all.

2)
A8s fold, call when they are all fish
KJ fold
Q9s fold
77 call

3)
A8s 3-bet
KJ 3-bet
Q9s fold
77 3-bet

I 3-bet when I expect a steal, else I fold in the SB most of the time

Thanks,

Guido

My answers are similar to guido's except for the following:

UTG raises, no callers, I think i would flat call more with 77, but i can see 3 betting to get it HU.

UTG raises and two cold calls: I am calling with A8s and Q9s.

I am also three betting or calling Q9s to a steal. depends
on the player and my mood as to which.
