An OIC question
I'm well aware that I'm being a huge nit, but for everyone who is starting their "personal OICs" I thought it prudent to remind you that it's an oxymoron.
OIC stands for Open Internet Challenge. Open. Implying that anyone may enter who wishes to do so, requiring some degree of competition between multiple entrants. A personal challenge is a challenge against personal goals you have set. Therefore, Personal Internet Challenge would make more sense. Open means available to anyone who enters (unless, for example, you have the "Invitational Internet Challenge, which would imply a select group (as small as 2 or as large as 200) are participating. I'll remove that pickle from my ass now. Enjoy all of your Personal Internet Challenges. |
