Default AJs in BB 20/40 b&m

Hello all,

I think this is my first post so excuse the format. Just sat down at a 10/20 full 10 handed table. Unknown players. I'm in BB with AJs. CO open raises button and sb fold, I 3 bet to defend a steal, CO caps it i call.

Flop: A T Q (rainbow)

I check, CO bets, I c/r, CO 3 bets....

I'm thinking I'm done for sure, most likely AK or AQ, possible AA.

I call.

Turn: 7, completes rainbow

I check, CO bets, I call.

River: brick

I check, CO checks and shows AK, i muck.

Was my p/f play incorrect?

I should have mucked on the flop.

Comments?

THanks!

The title says 20/40 but your post says 10/20. This should go in the Mid-High Stakes Limit Hold 'Em forum. You played it fine. You can't fold on the flop with four clean outs and the possibility that your hand is good in a decent sized pot. Just be happy CO didn't bet the river.
