Default The Professional Poker Dealer\'s Handbook

Anyone read this book? What topics are covered? Is it mostly common sense stuff that a poker player would know, or is there a lot of new info?

You can find a brief description and a link to an excerpt at this twoplustwo book page.

I haven't gotten around to reading it yet, so I can't give you a review. There is no table of contents, but here are a few selected section headings:

Betting Structures and Limits
Games Played
Characteristics of a Professional Dealer
Counting the Rack
Mechanical Skills
The Sequence of Events
Controlling the Action
Reading Hands
Miscellaneous Procedures and Problem Handling
Dealing a Tournament
Glossary (this is fairly extensive)

I recommend this book to anyone who is considering a career in poker.

I bought this book, and I went to a dealers school. The book taught me 10-times more than the school did.
