ESPN coverage complaint
I really wish ESPN had been more dilligent about reporting the chip counts of players at their featured table. They very rarely said how much each player had. I don't think it would have been that hard to put peoples counts next to the percentages. When the announce says that someone bets X amount of money, it means very little to me if i don't know their chip counts.

You're the first person to say this.

Re: ESPN coverage complaint
They ussually mention it verbally as bets are made. It would just be distracting and would break the time flow to show the chipstacks continually.
It's entertainment, not an instructional video. |

Re: ESPN coverage complaint
That and we are getting the most interesting poker that they got on film (in their opinion for normal people, not us poker fiends), this tournament had 2 hours per round!
Add LONG commericial breaks, and fluff, we get a tiny sliver of the tournament. Imagine if we had a network that aired all 12 hours of the featured table with 10 min delay each day of the WSOP.... (yawns) But it'll probably happen. >TW< |
