Default Push the flop or Pot Bet and wait for turn?

Detail on this hand: before calling the bet pre-flop MP2 (short stack) said: I have AK. should I call? And he meant it... (he never made a hand, but helped a lot saying his cards).
after the hand is checked to me on the flop, I decided to push. It seemed the flop didnīt improved anyone. As it in fact didnīt.

Pushing the flop was the right move, unlucky w/ the results.
