Can someone post a basic intro of 'bonus whoring'

I understand that it has something to do with waiting for a site to offer a deposit bonus, playing there, then cashing out and moving on to the next site offering the bonus. I'm just not certain of any of the details really. If this has been discussed already then I apologize, but the search function seemed to only yeild posts that were talking about it, but no posts that actually explained it. TIA.
