yea, he has to be a fool for calling your flop bet, and he has to be a fool for not taking off a free card there. and calling your checkraise which has to be a monster.

Is he still a fool for calling my flop bet, not taking a free card, and calling my checkraise if he's got TT?

You were the preflop raiser, surely he doesn't put you on QT or Q4? If he has TT for a boat, he's got to know he's ahead--why would he make that comment? I suppose he might think that you could have QQ for quads... |

I have no idea why he said it, but he did. And he turned over TT.
What I'm wondering, basically, is whether there is any way whatsoever to avoid going broke here (considering my short stack and his smooth call on the flop). |

well it still follows then. since he called the way he did he had to know you had a monster. so he had a better one. he certainly wasnt a good player but happen to have a hand.
but right or wrong i dont know him., you played it in such a way as to pretty much get yourself broke if he had a better hand and win little if he didnt. unless he was a fool. |

ray thanks for all the great posts lately. I am guessing that you like raising the flop with a set of tens, because you want to tie him in before a straight card comes and scares the hell out of him? or is there another reason?

given your short stack, i bet the turn and dont c/r. he wont bluff enough here i think, and you risk not being able to get all in vs some hands that will sometimes check behind the turn.
if the stacks are bigger, i still bet out, but for different reasons. |

I wouldn't raise in EP w/ AQ.
