Default I get schooled

Just when I thought I was starting to figure this poker thing out....

Villain has seemed like a solid but unspectacular TAG up to this point.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (7.33 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (4.66 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 caps</font>, Hero calls.

River: (12.66 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14.66 BB
<font color="#009B00">Main Pot: 14.66 BB, between UTG+1, MP3 and Hero.</font> &gt; <font color="#FFFFFF">Pot won by UTG+1 (14.66 BB).</font>

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
UTG+1 has Ah Ac (two pair, aces and twos).
MP3 doesn't show.
Hero has Qd Qc (two pair, queens and twos).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins 14.66 BB. </font>

I know that I should have laid down to the turn cap, but it's hard to do there...and I would've gone on thinking I'd just lost to a JJ that got a lucky hit.

Anyone else love villain's play in this situation (i.e., heads up against a known aggressive player)?

The line villain took with AA is quite standard for me when I'm up against another TAG HU. I don't do it all the time, but I do it reasonably often. And yeah, I'd call the checkraise and call the river. 3-betting is insane unless you're planning on folding to the cap.

First time I'd seen that play, and I guess that I'm so used to 3-betting the AJ "slowplay" that I didn't stop to think.

Ah well...it cost me some chips, but that's the only way to learn this game.
